A good morning huddle can energize, build culture, and drive accountability to keep everyone aligned.
First 2-3 Minutes: Appreciation and Good News
Next 2-3 Minutes: Metrics and Scorekeeping
Final 2-3 Minutes: Accountability and Unblocking
One thing to avoid during a huddle is to problem-solve unless the solution is immediate and simple.
Protecting Personal Information
January 27, 2026
When running a company, you’ll have to keep sensitive personal information—names, Social Security numbers, credit card—that identifies customers or employees.
This information helps fill orders, meet payroll, etc. However, a leak of this sensitive data can lead to fraud, identity theft, or similar harms. Given the cost of a security breach, safeguarding personal information is in your best interest.
A sound data security plan is built on 5 key principles:
- TAKE STOCK: Know what personal information you have in your files and on your computers.
- SCALE DOWN: Keep only what you need for your business.
- LOCK IT: Protect the information that you keep.
- PITCH IT: Properly dispose of what you no longer need.
- PLAN AHEAD: Create a plan to respond to security incidents.
